Habib Fatako

/ Guinean pastoral music

Habib Fatako is a Guinean singer who carries forward the musical heritage of his father, Sékouba Fatako. He began performing alongside his father as a child before developing his own repertoire, including the album Fow Fotali and the song Yangaylan. His music connects Fulani pastoral traditions with contemporary arrangements. In June 2025, Univers Culture brought him to New York alongside Maxim BK for La Nuit de la Fierté Guinéenne and a separate Coco La Reve showcase.
